UNM chooses a Phoenix for the DH Lawrence Tomb

   In March of 2013, the University of New Mexico commissioned Nitushi Fine Arts to create a phoenix for the tomb of renowned writer D. H. Lawrence. The D.H. Lawrence is located 10 miles North of Taos, New Mexico. "The Phoenix" was a Lawrence family symbol and a metaphor for the rising spirit.

Kelly's piece Grandfather Sun has been chosen for the New Mexico Arts in Public Places, purchased by New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico

Kelly most recently had the honor of installing his piece Grandfather Sun at the New Mexico Highlands University. The sculpture was purchased as part of the New Mexico Arts in Public Places.
